I note the UK connection with LR. Does it also comply with Australian ADR in NSW please?

Hi Pete, nearly every off road Bar sold here in Australia does not meet ADRs, Even the ones being fabricated and for sale by other vendors. Or ones being made by the home handyman. Unless you buy an ARB bar or similar where the likes ARB have spent many thousands $$$$ having them tested and certified ADR. There is a disclaimer on all OFF ROAD equipment, it is for OFF ROAD.
There are only about 100 or so of these bars worldwide at present , They are the new generation.
These bars are being offered a a great price, cheaper than our competitors, even for the Exact BAR. the amount of enquiries we are getting on them. It's just getting too hard to please people. So We are withdrawing the offer on these bars.

To comply with ADRs isnt actually that difficult, and these and other vendors manufacturing on this site can comply easily.

An SRS compatible bar requires certification and testing (expensive).

A bar like you are offering, on a non SRS vehicle needs a few things to comply and that is all. (heres a quick summary - the ADR is out there)

    • Meet the design requirements as set out in ADRs
    • A tag / label sufficient that it wont get damaged but is accessible whilst fitted - placed by the manufacturer - stating the bar complies with the ADRs
    • Must have no sharp projections
    • No sharp corners
    • Low primary impact point

Check the ADR for further details, but a manufacturer can self certify in these instances - as can "Joes home fabrication"
