Wouldn't an auto go into limp mode with that much torque going into it?

When we develop a product we make sure we take it to the limit to see its true potential and to see whats the maximum we can achieve. This is what you can expect if explore this turbo setup to its maximum, but of course most of you will want/need less power. Nevertheless the smoth power deliver, the excelente torque curve will be there, just not "that much".

This discussion of transmission capacity its an old one! All I can say is that my very own car is running over 420nm about 50.000kms and gearbox is the same with no issues at all... It depends a bit about use and mantainance.

For example I?ve always found odd the fact that manual transmission cars with the turbotechnics VNT use stock clutch...a lot, and I mean alot, of cars overhere with stock turbo have to use Xtreme outback clutch or will only have clutch for a few kms/Miles. This proves my point, all depends of what you ask for and how much you want to explore !

How would you explain those two setups? Is one more linear power or more down low?
    They're fairly similar figures.
They are similar, but were achieved with different turbo configurations...

170KW, & 488NM,.....Excellent,......nearly twice as much power as a standard Puma!! (I know this is not a Puma,...Just saying!!)
At what rpm were these figures achieved, and was the power & torque at 3000rpm significantly up as well,...how much on standard?
    Very impressive result, Pickles.

    Lightbulb Turbo questions

    Hi Jose,

I've got a few questions about the new turbo set up. The figures that you had posted, what sort of modifications have those engines had done?
What sort of figures could I expect from my motor? Currently has a stage 2 remap from you , Bigger intercooler, EGR delete, Silencer delete, and 20 pounds of boost.

Can I expect a good increase in power and torque down low? Something to suit say, towing a car trailer around. Could I expect fuel economy to change?
Will turbo lag be decreased? Sorry for all the questions but I need to know these sorts of things before I may purchase one. It may also help other members on here as well when they read this thread. Look forward to hearing from you. Nice work you do by the way.

    Cheers

    Chris

Looking at the dyno graph it will have less down low and higher power overall up high in the rev range .i think if your going to tow your still better off with a vnt. Cant wait to hit the sand dunes once its fitted
