It was fitted with a NNN ECU by the PO who also put a 3" exhaust and had it remapped with an Autologic map for TD5. I know nothing about this map apart from website saying it should be making 170HP and 333Nm. The car has 285/16 BFGs and the usual stuff like bulbar winch and LR tank. Was never really that impressed with the performance and fully loaded it used to hit 650 EGT on long hills in 5th whilst slowing from 110 down to around the 70kmh.
The turbo went in no problem and I set it at about 17psi (being cautious) and it seemed to spool up much faster than previously, definitely felt more powerful, particularly putting your foot into it in 5th gear, EGT seemed to be a little lower. I then put in the Allisport IC and holy **** the thing really moves for such a heavy lump, EGTs down by about 100C over the original setup, can't get it over about 550C now. General impression is a much more powerful and smoother motor. Seem to be able to drive it with much less accelerator than before so it will be interesting to see what the consumption does. Next step is to get a new map from Jose and see what that does. So I think that it was well worth the upgrade cost. Will have to load her up in full camping mode and how it performs then
Will keep updating this when I have the new map in
Cheers
