I just had a call from an unusually friendly moderator who thought the male part of the plug came with the light. As search of the box found the other plug in the packaging :) .

Hi Mate,
Deutsch is well known as one of the industry leaders in industrial connectors, there will be a male and female connector in the box. Depends what the purpose the fitting is used for but depending there is no reason why you cannot hard wire it!
