I totally understand people won't want to lay down a deposit until they know we have the numbers, so how's the best way to do this? Can we set a a list or chart for people to fill in only if they are willing to pay a deposit once we have the numbers? Can be tricky, will have to rely on peoples word that they will pay once we have the numbers, but will be the quickest way to get started.

Timeframe to build a mould and produce tanks? about a month.

Look at the 90, loads sold world wide from 80s to present. All owners want more capacity and there is one spot that has not been used that is free on every model from TD/v8 to tdci. The passenger side rear wheel arch!

Mirror something like that to the left hand side, align the filler so it can be filled from behind the number plate (flip down, very tidy) and place the outlet to the rear. Great for a water tank!

You can see below on the right hand side implementation by equip, they are not using space towards the top of the arch or flat up against the outer panels, due to inline placement of the tank between factory filler and main tank. Placed on the left side you can fill the space out entirely with the filler at the top going out behind number plate.

As a water tank the outlet would go to a tap on rear cross member. As a fuel tank you run a transfer pumped line across rear cross member to main filler.

I will dig out the 110 thread. Had some numbers/interested members.

Just wondering, but what capacity would the 110 be?
Would the capacity be the same for both sides of the car?
I assume if u decided to upgrade to a later model 110, that u could remove the tank from your old defender and install in a later model Defender (say a Defender PUMA)? Is this possible?

As a person that will probably want to upgrade my '95 Defender to a later model at some point down the road, knowing that I can pull the LR tank and re-install it in a later one would help me make up my mind.....

Also, knowing next to nothing about the fuel lines in the later model Defender vs the Tdi300 versions, is there much difference? I'm assuming there would be as one is CRD version and the other is an old mechanical version ???

My suggestion is start a new thread here in the vendors section for the proposed 110 units.
Have a poll for LHFuel/RHFuel/LHWater/RH/Water so we can see how the numbers are going.
Pick a deposit price and ask members to post what unit/s they want.
Have a cut of date for expressions of interest and see if the numbers stack up.
Once done put a link to the deposit thread in the 110 pinnacle that folk have been looking at.

I'll slip you a PM too on some other thoughts.

Hi Rob, the capacity for a 110 would be about 75 litres on drivers side and about 10 litres less on the passenger side due to the battery box.

And yes they will fit all models of Defenders no problems.
