i would love to have one of each for my 110. Anybody willing to ship these to US if they get made?
G'day all, we didn't get to 20 tanks but I'm willing to build them anyway as I believe that once they are out there they will sell. I know that it's a big ask for people to cough up money for something that isn't even made yet, and I thank those that have indicated they will support me. So, for all those who were willing to pay me a deposit to build the tanks, now is the time please! I'm ready to order the materials and measure up a 110 and are confident that the tanks will be available by the end of the year.
Deposit of $150 for total cost of $790 per tank. I will honor this price for anyone who is prepared to pay the deposit, but once the first batch is done the price will have to go up a bit. So those that help me get started get the best price
Please send me an email shinglebackoffroad@gmail.com and I will send you an invoice for your tank deposit.
You can also check out my new website, which still needs a bit of info added but is at Shingleback Off Road 4WD accessories | Shingleback Rack
I will make the RH side first as it was slightly more popular, LH to follow soon after.
Remember, only those that pay the deposit will get the introductory price of $790.
Sorry it's taken so long and thanks again for your support,
Cheers,
Andrew.
I'm up for it......email sent

Hi All, and thanks for the quick response so far.
Thought I'd share these questions and answers in bold.
- Capacity of the RHS fuel tank? Wont know exactly until it's finished, but about 70 liters, should be more.
- What will be included? - The mounting brackets, hose, Sender Unit, etc? All the mounting brackets are included, brass inserts ready for you to fit whatever fittings you like. There will also be provision for a fuel sender unit, but up to you to supply all fittings and hoses. Might get a kit together eventually.
- How will it be filled? Same existing filler or a separate filler? However you like. I use a separate filler, and it comes with provision for big 12mm breather hoses to allow fast filling from hi flow truck pumps.
- how will it be plumbed in and how will the fuel be transferred into the main tank? However you like. There are many different ways of setting it up. Some have a transfer pump but if you have a low tec diesel I prefer a simple fuel selector valve to switch between tanks.
- How thick are the wall of the tanks? About 8mm thick on average, thicker in the corners. Very tough.
- Is it up to the continual peppering from sharp rocks & stones that u get from outback roads? Yes, so far so good. No signs of damage from our recent trip up the oodnadatta track. It is easy enough to fit mud flaps or stone guards if concerned.
- When 4WDriving a rocky track and u come down on a large rock, can it handle this? Yes, far better than steel as it wont cave in like a beer can. See my demo video of me driving over a tank with my 130.
And other features are that it won't rust, less condensation, is a better shape, nothing is lower than the chassis, tapers up from the chassis, is Aussie made and are awesome!
Cheers,
Andrew
