TuffAnt 18s are go go go.....

    Design complete
    Prototypes complete
    Major compliance passed

    Production here we come !!!

Barring any unforeseen issues, we are now production ready for the TuffAnt 18s. Importantly, to complete all the tests for Australia, North America, and Europe we have an adjusted load rating of 1000kg per rim.

Production timing is 30-45 days then about 2 weeks to get them to Australia, through customs and to our customers that have already ordered. We are working with the factory for a pre-Christmas delivery. The timing is tight, but we will keep everyone posted when the shipment is on the water.
A huge thanks to all the support from members with loan tyres, 3D printing, styling advice, engineering assistance, and of course all your valued opinions ;-). We may be a little biased, but we think the final product looks MINT!

Note: The only variation from the photos will be specific 22mm chrome capped nuts, not the ones for the alloys used in these shots.

One final note, the Special Pre-Production pricing will conclude on Sunday November 12.

What does the load rating mean in practice? D4’s with a bit of gear are often >3t, and then you go for a bit of wombat hole action where one or sometimes even two wheels are off the ground. We’re not expecting the wheels to fail in those circumstances, right?

In practice there is a safety factor.

Wheel loading must equal or exceed maximum axle loading.

    Chrome or Black Wheels Nuts

You can now order Chrome or Black nuts to go with your TuffAnt Wheels. These are included at no extra cost and shipped with all TuffAnt Wheels, that also includes the TuffAnt centre wheel cap.

Simply nominate your preference at time of order in the "Add Note" section on your shopping cart.

For people with existing orders, we will be in contact with you to get your preference locked-in prior to shipping.

At present, production is still underway and we anticipate completion by the end of the month. As soon as we have a confirmed date, we will advise.
