Not going to grind the caliper. No way. Talking about the weights bolted on for NVH which are easily removed or reversed.

My understanding is that there is no 18" wheel that will fit without tackling those little stick-out bits?

IIRC an AULRO member had Compomotives fitted to his MY09 3.6 TDV8 L322 which has the same 4-pot Brembos.

I'm pretty confident that the Compomotives will fit. That's been done repeatedly. My query is specific to the TuffAnt 18" steel wheels and compatibility to the 4-pot Brembos as used on the 3.6 TDV8 on L320. I believe that some D3/4s had the exact same brake package (3.0 V6 diesels?) so has anyone done it? My Compos have been delayed a few times and the latest timing is tight so I'm looking at potentially getting a set of steelies as a quick solution. Andrew has advised he has good stock ready to go. Just waiting on confirmation they'll fit before pulling the trigger.

I can’t confirm by direct experience with the brake calliper in question but I can say that my Tuffant wheels have the same or perhaps very slightly more clearance than my Compos to my D4 3.0L callipers. I measured both myself and the clearance appears larger to the steel wheel, not by much and not easily done so I can’t say how much difference exactly.

I didn't end up "trying" them on my car, but just sat them beside to see if we liked how they looked. However, if there is no one closer to you that you can try a physical fitment with,, maybe Dalil might come to the party again. He's a very helpful guy.

Thanks guys. Gordon today committed to getting my Compo's to me by mid - June so I should be OK for the trip. No need to go out of your way to verify this for me now. If the TuffAnt's will definitely fit where the Compo's do that's good enough for future reference
