Update....
I got a set of Tuffant's delivered Tuesday night, off to the tyre place Wednesday to fit up 285/60R18 muddies. Dropped them off with the car (getting RWC) and.... they don't fit! The caliper (Brembo) outer face rubs on the wheel inner face ('spokes'). Plus the two weight blocks on the calipers clash also, but they are easily unbolted and reversed to clear.

--> So I can confirm that the Tuffant 18s will not fit on a MY08 TDV8 L320 with Brembo 4-pots. <-- :(
A thin spacer of 3mm ish would likely do the job, but that's not a solution for me.
So I have a set of brand new Tuffant wheels with brand new Achilles Desert Hawk X-MT tyres (LT285/60R18) that need a new home and my bank account replenished somewhat. I'll put them up in the Marketplace today.
If the seller of the wheels advertised that they fit your model and they don't then surely they have an obligation under the consumer law to sort this out for you.
Have you discussed this with the seller?

Hi Garry,
Andrew was quite up-front that he wasn't sure if they'd fit or not. I took the gamble myself so not on him at all. Sooooooo close to fitting it hurts, but alas. You live and learn and now the forum has another data point of what the Tuffant's do and don't fit, and also an opportunity to get a new set a bit cheaper :) Sometimes you are the bug, sometimes the windshield. Today I was the bug. Such is life.
Ok - thats good from the consumer perspective - I guess after the event it is easy to work out how you could have done things differently and I am sure you have gone through all that yourself.
I hope you do well with the sale.
Good Luck.
Garry
Thanks Garry. Worst part was they looked really good and I was all excited.... But now I'm a bit sad :(

Jezzz I don’t know a set of 3mm spacers easily obtainable well that seems a possibility 🧐
I suspect that a version with more offset to match D5 specs would use the same centre so would also foul.
The tooling for the centre disc part is mighty expensive so I suspect the same. 'Just' weld the rim on at a different offset for the D5. So not much hope there...
