A mate has developed and is in final stage testing of an 18in steel wheel to fit the D4 (&D3 possibly D5)

I'm in the market for new rims to replace the 19s plus tyres of course, but don't want to pay what's being asked for replacement alloys. Either that or go for something in the limited range of tyres for them available at this stage.
I've sent an email with my queries re quality control and await their reply with interest.
