Yes, the dual rear wheecarrier is a good idea, but it would have to be very strong to have two spares bouncing on the one carrier.

It is. The dual adaptor is only designed to be used with his rear wheel carrier - Strongest wheel carrier I've ever seen - very well designed too, easy to operate with the back door too.

Agree, the second ‘dual’ carrier hinges on its own, just as strong as the drivers side.

The single wheel carrier is tough.....while Murray doesn’t advertise it he has at least one customer that bolts up two spares (stacked behind each other) onto the one carrier without issue. I have a bike carrier bolted to the single spare wheel carrier and have loaded two fat bikes adding around 35kg on top of the single spare wheel. 10 days on fraser and two weeks in the high country and it’s held up no worries.

It looks great, nice and intuitive. I'm not sure if its just my imagination but the site response feels a bit snappier that the previous one. Nice

Anyone who has bought the Piggy Back Wheel Carrier, I have told them that we're pushing the limits of the carrying capacity of the main single carrier arm.
But, there are quite a few out there, the original one was supplied to a well known couple in the Sydney LROC (P & M), probably about 6 years ago, and they do a lot of outback corrugations, so it's been well tested.
Never had any issues with any of them actually.

I'm happy to say, the only report of a structural failure I've ever had was a crack in a 130 wheel carrier, BUT, I am highly suspicious it was reversed into something rather than a fault (I received photos). This was backed up by the fact the customer requested a quote for the replacement arm, rather than a warranty claim. Even though his words hinted at it being a fault in the carrier, I think he was just hopeful of a cheaper replacement, nice try
