    BM2 Bluetooth Battery Voltage Monitors

Hi folks, I am now supplying the QUICKLYNKS BM2 Battery Monitors at a discounted price of $30 pre unit, with any Isolator or Kit purchase.

The BM2 Battery Monitor is a very inexpensive wireless battery voltage monitor that uses your SMART Phone as it’s display and has some unique features.

there is a FREE single battery monitoring APP and a $15-00 APP that allows you to monitor up to 4 different batteries at the same time.

The main feature is the ability to continuously display the designated battery’s voltage and the first picture is the single battery APP display, the second is the 4 battery APP display.

By far one of the best features is the 24 Hour Graph. this allows you to view the battery’s charging and discharging events for a 24 hour period ( or part there of when viewing the current day’s use ).

Again, the first picture is the single battery APP display, the second is the 4 battery APP display.

A major feature of the 4 battery APP is the ability to e-mail the data recorded.

This will make it very easy for someone who is trying to troubleshot a potential problem, to send the data to a third party, like myself, to have the data processed to see if there is a problem and to help resolve any potential issues relating to the battery and it’s usage.

The recorded data can also be used to show service people exactly what is going on and will make it much easier to determine if there is a problem with a faulty battery or an alternator not operating properly and you will have the evidence to make it easier to get warranty work done when it is proven there is a warranty issue.

Will post up more info relating to the features and how to use these units in the next few posts.

    Hi folks and an update.

I have had quite a few people asking about the QUICKLYNKS BM2 Battery Monitors and I am now making them available to all and I have changed the info above.

If you are purchasing them when purchasing one of my isolators or any Dual Battery kits, they are now discounted to $33 per unit.

If you are just after the BM2, they are now $40 each, including free post.

How could this be connected both to a dual battery (w/bcdc) setup in the vehicle and another dual battery (in series, with an umbilical to the truck when driving and an mppt controller and solar panel as backup when not), to monitor all four batteries? Is this unit required for each battery or ???

I have experience with similar units of another brand, and yes, you need one of these units for each battery monitored.

Hi tc_s1, and if the batteries are together and wired in. parallel then you only need one BM2 for the battery bank, regardless of how many batteries are connected together.

If the batteries are wired in parallel but are some distance apart, you could install a BM2 on each battery but this would also depend on how far apart they are and what size cabling is used to connect them together.

The most likely RV setup would be a BM2 on the Cranking battery, a BM2 on the auxiliary battery, another one on any house battery or battery bank.

SPECIAL NOTE, While you could fit one to a Breakaway Battery, this will NOT meet the legislative requirements in NSW, where the CONDITION ( not just the voltage ) of the Breakaway Battery must be related to an indicator located in the tow vehicle, that is visible to the driver.

I have had two of these units in operation since October last year, and when I got two more, things got difficult with how you monitor more than one battery.

Initially I was using my iPhone for monitoring the cranking battery and my iPad for monitoring the auxiliary battery.

This worked fine but with 4 batteries, it is a pain having to change bluetooth connections between batteries and only one battery at a time is displayed.

With the Multi Battery APP, 4 batteries are simultaneously monitored and their voltages, displayed at the same time.

Plus you can either view the 24 Graph with one, two, three or all four batteries displayed as an over lapping graph, making it very easy to see what was happening in different locations ( battery locations ) at different times during a trip.

Hi Ranga, and yes they have two alarm setting, which is are set in 10% capacity increments.

BUT, I have not had a chance to test this feature yet.

I am doing some more tests ( have a play ) with the devices over this weekend and will post up my findings.

I have also e-mailed the manufacturer with some questions and hope to give you more info soon.

Hi Folks and I have just received an e-mail from the manufacturer and they inform me that there is no Android version of the Multi-Batt App just yet.

The Multi-Batt App at present, is only available for iPhones and iPads at this time.

    Well, that's a deal-breaker for me.
