Some how it's our fault that customer provides wrong address . Go figure.

We sold something on ebay and posted it express to the address registered in Ebay and a]=same adress id registered in Paypal.
The item was delivered by Aust post to the address registered.
The customer checked the tracking number we provided and then claims she doesn't live there any more, so they purchase another replacement part again and it is sent to the new address they provided.
Now today we get a case opened on it in ebay. "Item not received." The customer states that the new tenant at the old address is not contactable . The people at the old address have not returned the part to us . We have done nothing wrong so why would the customer put a dispute in to ebay, We have done nothing wrong, not our fault.
On ebay we even have a note that customers should ensure the address is correct. Seems a lot of people don't seem to update addresses, we can't hold everyone's hand.

just got another message form buyer saying it's ok for me to say its not our fault, and says she is out of pocket and suggests I follow up Aus post for lost item, I responded and said it is not lost it was delivered, the tenant has not returned to sender as Au post would have details of that. I rang ebay and they say it's her fault.

I had one the other day, where a customer could not wait for a combined postage for numerous items purchased and paid individual postage on each item. We do not profiteer on postage , so Heather refunded the customer the over paid postage charges via paypal and even messaged the customer to say we did that, then after that we got a message from the customer that we had taken double postage out of her paypal account and would like us to refund it back asap. We then again explained that those amount on her paypal account are actually refunds from us, not charges. We did get an apology from her.
    The joys of retail.

I have my PO Box as a delivery address on ebay but every now & then the seller states they do not deliver to POBox , then when the item arrives it is delivered by Aus Post post man & if I am not home to sign I have to go to the post office to pick it up.

But Mario, the customer is always right. Have you forgotten.....?

    Kidding, of course.

I have had some odd experiences as a buyer, though. I once bought one of those robot vacuum cleaners for Jan, at a price which did seem to good to be true, which of course it was. Got no response from the seller, but the money was gone through the mob Musk started. Seller started a case against ME, even though he had my $$ and I had nothing. Then I noticed that this "100% Aussie seller" had a paypal account in China. Then, eBay intervened, without being asked, the sale was reversed, the case was dismissed and I got my money back, quickly and totally. eBay refused to tell me what had gone on, but I was happy with the outcome, except for the fact I wanted Jan to have the robot.

eBay ain't perfect, but it does tend to look after it's buyers. Sadly for you.

In regards to these sellers that say item location is in Australia when in fact it is in China or somewhere else . This has happened to me where i seek out Australian buyers to support local sellers and find it takes ages to come from the so called Sydney location for example. Ebay put out a bulletin that if sellers declare false item location info in their listings then they will charge that seller double fees on the item sold.

I purchase a lot of stuff online and from you also Mario.
Recently my address changed to my old address of 4 years earlier. No idea why.
Infact you were the one that picked up on it for me Mario (Thankyou kindly).

I guess this could be the situation here also.

    Certainly not your fault though.

Damink, the red flag with you was the paypal and ebay addresses did not match. So we checked . The said customer customers address both were the same. She is trying to claim under buyer protection for her stuff up that item was not delivered, but it was, just to her old address.

We today was the expiry date to close the case and ebay awarded us the case. The buyer however doesn't care what ebay says, she is getting statuary declarations made that she never received the item. Seems she won't give up for her lack of responsibility. And she says that she had cancelled her paypal account 12 months ago, seems odd since she made the payment via paypal. She is inflating the amount she reckons she paid. I think this person may need medical help. Sadly We have blocked her from further purchases.
