I got Ross river fever in Sydney a few years back...I was lucky as I was only affected badly for a couple of days.. extreme joint pain and unable to move as joints seized up. I know another person who got it in Sydney and has been left unable to work, and he was in his mid 30's with a property maintenance business. I though this was a tropical disease!! I have since been diagnosed with polymyalgia rheumatica, same symptoms but according to the experts it is unrelated. This time I have long term problems. Jim
Just Mother Nature doing her thing........
Surely anyone bringing the virus into Australia only has to be bitten by the right type of mosquito and it will spread easily.
