    Yep, in astronomical terms, that is an extremely close shave. I could not begin to imagine the damage it would cause if it actually hit Earth.

    The asteroid is three times the size of the one that exploded above Russia, in 2013, injuring 1200 people.

    I personally can see an upside should one of these get through and wipe out 3/4 of us.

    Hmmmmm. An Asteroid which targets Malicious people. We'd better hurry and get them all to ground zero.

    An Asteroid with the same mass as the Harbour Bridge would do serious harm, even if it burned up in the atmosphere in a remote location.

    Well, what would it matter ?? We nice people (that's "us") would be gone, and the haters who are left behind would all get what's coming to them !

    No point being around if all that survives is "them"
