In fact, this is something I have noticed in the past - a large proportion of people either sought for or arrested in connection with ISIS, anywhere in the world, seem to already have police records for unrelated offences.

It may be just that the ones with records are the ones that are easy to find and arrest, but I don't think so. There seems to be something about their ideology that attracts thugs.

Poor areas, unemployed alienated youth seeking an identity, forming groups with similar people, crimes for money, its just normal. Add propaganda and bragging rights and ISIS seems like an adventure. Throw in extremist indoctrination and breed martyrs.

Normal?....Have you see what these people are doing,...all over the World, in Iraq, Syria, anyone that doesn't "convert to Islam"?.....Beheadings, Torture, MASS executions,.....these people are too radical for even Bein Laden's mob. Two Policemen in Melbourne can tell you what they're capable of.

Europe closes its borders, and Jordan is overfull with about 1,000,000 refugees according to UNHCR. There's no where to go. The people on their side have to tuff it out, stay put and continue to building an economy. The people that don't comply or they don't want disappear. They build/engineer the society/population they want. It's only a theory. The fundamentals have been applied before.

The coalition invaded the wrong country, for the wrong reason years ago.This war in Syria should have been sorted years ago, it is because of the fiasco in Iraq that this has come about. Where to from here?
