    Tilt shift, tiny Sydney

Have to admit, sometimes I really miss Sydney. The Harbour, and the beaches, fish market, the Rocks area, ferry rides. But then, I go for a walk, and realise why I live where I live.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Youngest son went to Queenstown, absolutely loved it. Got offered a job, nearly took it on. There was a woman involved, methinks.

I live here but, fortunately, 60km away from the city. I absolutely loathe going into the city and driving anywhere near it.

I'd live elsewhere but my wife likes it here where her friends are. I don't have any close friends so it doesn't matter where I live. Nowhere in Oz has great weather all year round so moving for a better climate isn't worth it.

I live 5 Km from the GPO, work in the Ports and enjoy much of what Sydney has to offer. I love it.
    Cheers, Billy.

Horses for courses, methinks. SYDNEY.......hate the place, too crowded, takes too long to get anywhere, I don't know how people do business in Sydney, takes you an hour to go a couple of kays with all the traffic.

BUT........other people like it for such things as the nightlife, things to do etc. I'm not a social butterfly, I enjoy peace and quite.

    I enjoy walking Sydney's history.

We go there for a week every couple of years.....it's good that way.

We are going to Melbourne in a few weeks to do the same thing.

My wife was born & raised at North Manly. Three of our children were born at Manly Hospital. We were married at St. Keirens church Manly vale. Our first residence was the Manly National building, off the Corso. My wifes' family were in the area, after our friday wedding, I sailed for a Rimpac exercise, Hawaii, on the monday. I am so thankful for her family supporting her , without them , I'm not sure it would have worked. Good Irish Catholics. When I was home, I went to work on the Hydrofoil in the morning, walked through the Gardens, down Cowper Wharf road, to G.I. I had to pinch myself, for my good luck.
