    Indigenous science meets modern science

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Bob their was as interview on ABC Brisbane's 612 with Richard Fidler a few weeks back. It was with a woman who has unearthed the Language of Native cultures. How they used land marks for initiate memory to tell the detail in knowledge that has been handed down through generation. That walk about was like school, that different levels of knowledge was protected and access to it was earned, sometimes only through age. Secret women business was dispersed and handed down the same way.
This lady had learned european history and others in great detail using land marks around here neighbour hood. She is literally a walking history book. She said it explains how Native Indians can recall, identify, and know the use of over 700 insects. And not a computer or note pad required.
Here name is Lynne Kelly. The book is "The Memory Codes". Her interview can be tracked down in Fidler's Conservation Hour recordings.

It took her a while a decade to convince the traditional historians particularly in the UK. It's a pity english arrogance and religion dismissed our Aboriginals as uncivilised people who needed whitening, or perhaps just killing. Imagine what we would have today if we shared and preserved half the place.

Na na this one. It's an amazing hour. I plan on buying the book and can only hope the kids can learn the system.
