Apple faces massive tax bill in the EU.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

They have already said they aren't going to pay it and will fight it. When you have that much to loose, spending 10 billion to fight it makes good economic sense.

They will be able to keep this tied up in the courts for years until they figure out how to dodge it.

Yeah, I think it might come down to a fight about whether Ireland's tax concessions are acceptable in the EU. That should keep the lawyers busy for a while.
I think I read somewhere that Harvey Norman or was it Westfield also has its tax headquarters in Ireland. If true, that's a bit dodgy, I reckon. Next time you can't get a hospital bed or a place in school for your kids, just think that could be because companies are dodging their tax payments.
