    Teaching. A challenging profession.

Daughter , teaching at a Catholic school, told us one of the prep children , when given a book, didn't know how to open the book. He kept swiping the cover [ mind you, they are only 4 yrs old] Another child in year 1, with a behaviour problem, the young mother asked " Yeah, I know, what can I do About That? "
expecting parenting advice. Daughter advised her she has no children at the moment, and pointed her in the right direction. This is the first class where the mothers have been younger than her.

Teachers are the cause of all problems, responsible for all problems, the solution to all problems, should be doing it all for the love of the job and never ever deserve a pay raise. But interestingly, most say they could never ever be a teacher.
    Cheers

Through my daughter I have met many teachers . Every one dedicated, focussed, and prepared to work many more hours than what they are paid for.And every one a fine human. After watching the fiasco of parliament the last couple of days, I believe this country would be best served by experienced teachers taking the place of self obsessed millionaires, sycophants, and general ratbags, oh for some one to come out of the woodwork, with the interest of this nation and the people, at heart.

Yep, the teachers I know work at least 10 hours a week of unpaid overtime, get blamed by parents when their kids behave like brats and have to put up with know-nothings whingeing about their holidays.
