Remember the movie, The ghost and the darkness? It was based on a true story. I had the opportunity to visit Tsavo game park back in 1973, whilst on an Indian Ocean trip, on HMAS Perth. Caught a bus from Mombasa, stayed at a very comfortable resort. Don't think I've seen so many things that will kill you, eat you or just make life a misery as at that park. Living in Africa back in the day took some courage.
