    I see they are talking of vaccinating people against Covid twice a year.
    It used to be recommended that people have the flu vaccine twice, in March and September, although my doctor said this week the second flu vaccine was not necessary because social distancing and infection control have drastically cut the flu infection numbers.
    That means we will need about 2 x 26 million doses of a Covid vaccine each year.
    We may run the risk of coming up against a different strain of the disease every time we go overseas. Not sure how they would get around that , does one vaccine fit all ?

    Emergency authorisation of COVID vaccines needs great care, WHO. Don't think I want to be a crash test dummy with COVID.

    India, the country with the Worlds worst infection rate. With a population of 1.3 billion, and areas of great poverty, perhaps not surprising. Plus other news on the virus in Aus.

    India has the world's fast-growing infection caseload

    Police apprehend COVID-19 positive man at Brisbane Airport

    Queensland Police intercepted a man trying to enter Queensland via a flight.

    The man arrived in Queensland at 9:19am yesterday on flight JQ560 from Melbourne to Brisbane.

    The 48-year-old man tested positive in Victoria "some time ago" and Victorian authorities had been attempting to locate him.

    Deputy Premier Steven Miles said police were now investigating as to whether an offence had been committed.

    Why would you even think to do this? EDIT There is no watch list for airlines to check if passengers have tested positive?You are kidding me.;

    Victorian chief health officer Brett Sutton said his department had no information about the man and there was no watch list for airlines to check if passengers had tested positive for COVID-19.

    New COVID symptoms no one has heard of. This thing is evolving , it's certainly a handful.

    Good results in the human trials of the Qld vaccine. It will not be ready until next year, but we may need more than one vaccine to fight this beast. At last some positive news. EDIT. It's comforting to hear the people involved with this vaccine say it is not a race. It has to be done properly.
