    RESPECT.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

    RESPECT.

Welcome home, girls & boys. They are not tears, I just have something in my eye.

When Bonaparte saw the Scots at Waterloo, he called them " Amazons in skirts". More fool him. During the Korean War, the Scottish Battalion that was part of the Commonwealth Brigade was on the ship alongside, waiting to embark back home , during a normal rotation. Then they heard the Aussies were in trouble at Kapyong, and many jumped ship and tried to get back to help their Aussie mates. The Redcaps stopped them of course, but the legend remains .

A lot has been written about the British Empire. The sun never set, as they say. In the early days it was the British soldier, drawn from the ranks of the poorest , that took the King/ Queens shilling. His reward was often no more than begging for alms with lost limbs, in the village square. Wellington could not have beaten Bonaparte without them.
