Reciprocating saw with suitable blade.
been looking for an excuse to buy a reciprocating saw.
Lewy, 10mm bar will take 1-2 seconds to cut with a drop saw dont think there will be many sparks, plus a v8 petrol disco, that would make good bang if you want to see some real sparks :wasntme::p:p
When are you looking at cutting them?
Cheers Ean
sometime in the next 3 weeks, depends on the rain, seems we are in for a bit
I work in a factory that does Reo, we use 600mm bolt cutters from trade tools to cut 10mm rod all the time, takes a bit of getting use to but its a good chest/arm workout,
if you can get the rebar cutter id use one of them,
Bolt cutters are the go, quick & a lot safer than grinding. I have a pair of 30 year old, 4 foot cutters which have cut a lot of 1/2 deformed steel, & the jaws are large enough to cut the body of padlocks in half!. So a smaller pair will do 10mm steel fine.
