In car tool kits
Hi
I've been looking at assembling a small portable emergency/breakdown tool kit/pack . I have a series 3, Holden WB & Morris minor that it will get thrown into depending on what ever one is being driven at the time.
I was thinking something like this
Crescent CTK170CMP2 Mechanics kit
can anyone recommend a kit? Toolpro ones from supercheap look ok as well. Having everything in a compact case would be good as well.

Kits are handy, keep items together and are well presented to be attractive with a mix of metric and s.a.e tools which may (or may not in the case of the Morris) fit some nuts and bolts in the cars
I'm sure what you refer to would be great but I can't help thinking that there will be many items there that will never get used "on the road".
And there are surely a few handy items that aren't in there
An alternative you may wish to consider is to set up a small tool roll with only those spanners /screwdrivers / pliers / electrical and gorilla tape, wire, fuses and bits and pieces that would actually fit what is likely to need "on the road" repair (e.g. lighting or coolant hoses & clamps)
Comprehensive NRMA or equivalent membership gets you to a town where you can buy just about anything you need.
