I needed to cut a 10mm slot lengthways in 2x2m pieces of 25x1.6shs, it was too long and awkward for dad's milling machine so made up a jig for my grinder.
Some cleaning up with a flap disc and jobs done.

Took a few goes back and forth so the disc wouldn't jam, I could make a better jig put of steel.

I use a biscuit jointer tool, which is essentially a cordless angle grinder with a sliding and angle adjustable fence. It doesn’t have a disk but a miniature carbide tipped blade, designed for timber, though it may work on aluminium. I need to the tool so haven’t tried it.
This has given me the idea of modifying adapting a biscuit broken jointer to suit a grinder, that would be a use full tool. Slots and edging
This is a similar idea but executed totally differently
