    Tyre Balancer

    Hi All,

I was given this the other day -

My intention is to clean it up and re-paint the base, and then probably work out how to use it..

    Cheers,
    GG.

Put the head on the shaft, then the wheel on the head. Put your foot on the pedal to lift the wheel up. Rest weights on the rim edge to get the bubble back to the middle of the glass. Remove the wheel and fit the weights. Been a long time since I have sen one of those.

All the little pie sections in the base are for storing the various different wheel weights.

These are OK for balancing rear wheels & for front on older vehicles but do not balance the inner & outer tyre/ rim like modern balancers .

Fantastic piece of garagenalia but I'd be getting a wheel balanced when I got a tyre fitted.

Yes, they only do a static balance, not dynamic.
