    Pressure washers.

I currently have a K'Archer K1 entry level unit-next to useless. Wish to upgrade but not spend a million! Thinking of a K3 with vari-angle head for under the Deefer. Big enough for the job? Open to suggestions. Cheers.

I've had 3 karchers in my time, all failed at end of warranty, never again. My Gerni is still going strong though

    Same with the K brand
My brother had had 1 G compared to the 3 Ks
At the moment I have 2 cheapies from another K (Kogan I think)
Cost me $60 each 2 years ago

A hot water blast will be the next one i buy
Even if it can only handle the HWS system on the house
Hot water cleans so much better

When I researched pressure washers in 2011 (just looked up the receipt 4/9 2011), I ended up buying a Gerni instead of a Karcher.
At that time, the Gerni had metal pumps vs plastic.

In the last 10 years, the Gerni itself has not had an issue.
Ive had a few problems with the handles. The handles are plastic, and the shaft splits (ow).
But when you contact Gerni, they send you a pro version handle (metal) at no charge, so this is obviously a known issue.

Some years later, my pro-shaft had a leak./
    New O rings fixed it.

    Cant recommend enough the Gerni.

If I were to upgrade, I'd want a hot water pressure washer, but cant justify the expense.

    When buying a unit…

    Metal body pump
Check pressure rating meets/exceeds your intended use.

Lower pressure units can’t run some accessories.

Regardless - do NOT blast seals or joints.

I've had my Karcher for over 20 years.

Went to a Karcher supplier for a drain cleaning HP hose and their feedback was 'if you have a problem with it then repair it, they don't last as long nowadays'.

I've got a 2010 era Gerni and bought it for the metal pump as well. Hasn't failed yet, although I am careful to get all the water out of it when I'm finished with it.

Been reading up on getting a pressure washer.
Are the Stihl washers any good?
Or do I go for a Gerni brand(they seem to be OK, they have more attachments than the stihl)
Will be using it around the house cleaning the gunk from pathways/stairways that dont get any sun from late autumn to summer and general duties around the house that I cant reach by hand/broom.
Thats the only bummer about living in Tassie.

Gerni like all others does domestic and higher spec.

Key points in any unit / brand.

    Metal pump Pressure washers.
    Hose length
    Accessories
Pressure delivery - some won’t power certain items or even run a foam cannon.
