Just a quick update... the round drive belt arrived for my lathe this morning. It took longer to unpack the belt from the packing than it did to fit it. Undid the wing nut that fixes the tension. Adjusted the tension to 'snug' and tightened the belt. Turned the power on and away the lathe went. A very satisfying outcome. Thank you everyone who contributed with your advice and suggestions. They are as always, very much appreciated.
On wards and upwards ... away!
