    New trailer Coupling

    Gday All,
Have looked at the previous threads on this and am more after type and supplier.
The only coupling I have seen in Darwin is a Tregg and you buy it and the tow bar side seperate, seems expensive to me..

I am sure there are other brands / styles of similar type (offroad Coupling) for my Camper trailer, that has an over-ride brake set up.
It has the normal 50mm ball set up ATM.
Would be keen to hear of other types and a contact of where to get them.

    Thanks and Cheers Ean

most any good bearing accessory outfit will be able get you a rotating pintle hook (abt $200) and a ring for your trailer ($180) - I know 'cause a mate jus got them

    - much superior to a treg-type

    try this mob.........

Before you spend the coin... has the 50mm ball actually let you down?

Ive towed boat trailers on every conceivable track on the cape and not never once has a 50mm ball done anything that would make me want to change it?

No it hasn't, but haven't really taken the trailer off road that much, but plan on a couple of trips so just peace of mind more than anything..

The AT -35 is also a good and easy to hitch up off road hitch. I am happy with mine And it has seen some unpleasant angles and some rough roads.

    Hi Ean,

I realize you're in Darwin but why don't you get onto Martins Trailer Parts & request/down load their pdf of parts for trailers, has a variety of couplings listed with spec's etc - has come in very handy when I've had trailers built for work & needed spares etc to be flown/transported to site.

    Thanks Guys,
So where do I source either a tregg or AT-35 from?
Am sure they can be found cheaper than what they quoted me in Darwin, well for the tregg anyway..

    Thanks and Cheers Ean

Vehicle Components should be able to supply an AT-35 direct to you via online ordering, I guess same with Tregg.
I Can't tell you how much they are, it was on my trailer from new when I bought it.
