Yep already emailed Pinnacle and found there address. I should have realised who they where as a mate from work brought a chainsaw from there a month ago. Seen the pictures and they look like all the bases are covered. And I already realise i am probably going to have to go thru and check tighten and replace bolts where necessary. Oh and some welds (dads a boiler maker so covered there).
Also going to check out the mob that sell on ebay. One of them are based in Malvern.
SO unless I can find something nice 2nd hand. I think mid year I will be buying.
Mars campers (A&S powersellers) were ordered to give me my money back and take their trailer back this morning in VCAT which is a Victorian consumer affairs tribunal to keep little things from clogging up the courts
The nice gent in charge of the tribunal agreed with my request for a refund and mars campers (A&S powersellers) did not bother turning up to be told they fib a bit more than acceptable.
As long as they don’t go bankrupt I have the an order for them to give my money back. Wonder if Ebay will now stop them advertising the waffle that they are 100% aussie built and 100% satisfaction guaranty?
Anyone looking for an off road camper at budget prices that truely is made in Australia should definitely take a look at Tambo.
They are made here in Victoria, I bought mine about 6-7 years ago and it has been faultless.
Tambo are a small family owned operation - there customer service is outstanding.
As Vlad mentioned you generally get what you pay for...
eBay provide cheaper units than this .... but not that much cheaper... and the quality and backing is like chalk and cheese.
I have no affilliation with this company ..except I am a very happy customer. Particularly if you are in Victoria - pop out to Wantirna and take a look - talk to the people that design and build these things and you will see.
The only time mine has let me down was operator error...

You get that.....
Weakestlink. Was that for the soft floor?
It was the softfloor going back turps. My hardfloor from another dealer is staying put with me.
The softfloor is full of water and a fair bit of surface rust- Its fully Sealed promise proved a bit shakey as well.
The hard floor is also sold by the same dealer "mars campers- A& S powersellers" who sold me the softfloor promising 100% aussie built and 100% satifaction. Given the G rating I can not begin to tell you how much they failed on the satisfaction promise:o
Cheers thanks for the heads up. I will still go look at there's. But also there's another seller in Malvern and Clayton (I think was the other).
Plus Pinnical in ballarat.
That should give me some good exposure to them to get bidding.
ive had a good look at rangiemans camper and it definitely looks well built and handled a good dose of rain when we were away no probs!!
Don't waste your money on these cheap Chinese campers, buy a good quality Australian made camper, there are heaps out there, Tambo and Camel are about the best for a new budget camper.
Second hand is a great way to buy a good quality Aussie made camper at a good price, the bonus with this way is the camper is usually already setup with everything you need.
Here ya go
2009 - Camel Camper - Beachcomber - $7000, Sydney South
Baz.
I agree with Baz, there is no need to buy junk made rubbish when you can buy a good quaility Australian built camper for roughly the same price second hand that will do what it is designed for. With many of these Chinese units they look flash but aren't up to the task they are meant for and usually people get let down by them when in the middle of no where or they just fall apart while sitting in your shed.
I have a really good quaility well set up Australian made camper for sale that has a full hot dipped galv body and independant suspenion. Recently I left it up in the front paddock for over a month, when I finally went back inside it it was completely dry with no smells or moisture. That only happens with the best quality canvas.
Anyway if anyone is interested have a look at the pics I put up even though I sized them wrong, anyway I have better ones that I can email if contacted.
