Bumping an old thread. (Either that or make a new one asking the same question)
Anyone fitted/used an EZ Connector?
I'm thinking about this one.

They also make a 14 pin version. Wire is 16awg.
Hi, I am have just purchased a Disco 3 and was wondering if any one has fitted a EZ Connector for their trailer wiring and especially if they have fitted one to a Disco 3.

Reminds me of the plugs on defence equipment, I wonder if there is a technique to applying the right amount of spit to lubricate the seal so the plug will slide home?

I've heard that NATO plugs are notorious for needing to be fixed, not to mention being a bugger to fix.
Edit.
Sorry, I don't want this to be an argument about NATO plugs.
Just want any info on EZ Connector
Looks like a problem searching for a solution. If I'm looking at it correctly it relies on face contact between the pins, completely removing the wiping action of a pin-in-socket that keeps the contact surfaces clean.
A bit like the Magasfe on my Macbook. Great, but requires periodic cleaning to keep the contact resistance down, and that's easily sensed by an increased connector temperature.
Agree. Overly questionable system for no benefit in time or convenience.
If anything inconvenience as you’ll need adapters for any normal trailer and therefore adding more complexity.
I’d keep the coin for something useful.
