I'd suggest you go for a wheel and tyre you can use on your tow vehicle otherwise thre is little point in changing the stud pattern and wheel size on your van.

You've got excactly what you need, all you need now are Commodore braked hubs for the van,(I'm assuming your van has brakes) Commodore hubs are the same PCD as the D2 of 120 PCD.

Have them fit 9/16 wheel studs to the Commodore hubs (most trailer places won't fit M14 studs) as you steel rims it won't matter about wheel nuts, you'll just need to carry spare M14 for the car and 9/16 for the van.

You can run the same 235/70/16s on the van, the 235/75/15 that are on the van are 28.9", the D2s tyres of 235/70/16 are 29.0", so you should have no problem running the D2 steel rims and tyres.

Don't quite understand why one would use 9/16" studs... If you fit Commodore studs you have total compatibilty with the D2...

I tried to get a few trailer places fit M14 studs when I changed my trailer to suit my D2, all of them would not fit M14 studs, the other thing is, all Commodore brake hubs of the shelf come with 1/2 studs or 9/16 studs, also only the late model Commodores have 14mm studs and I'm pretty sure the trailer places haven't caught up yet and still use imperial studs, unless things have changed.

What I did was do it myself, bought the Commodore hubs, knocked out the 1/2 studs and re-drilled to suit the 14mm studs, at the time it was all I could do to get what I wanted, even ALCO wouldn't fit 14mm studs when I asked, they said they would only fit 9/16 studs.

If you know a place that will supply Commodore brake hubs with 14mm studs, please let me know, cause I'll buy a pair now, I'm changing to electric brakes and buying them without having to re-drill them myself would be a heap better.

x2! "Steve" @ Couplermate drilled the Alko 10"drums to the Commodore PCD and fitted the M14 studs I supplied (from Holden dealer parts). Remember: DO NOT try and do up the wheel without a 10mm spacer... otherwise you run out of room on the threaded portion of the stud which will protrude and damage the outer covering on the OEM LR wheel nut... You should be able to buy the spacers from Autobarn ...
