    D2 and GEL storage batts

    Anyone with any warnings?

    Anyone having no problems?

I am concerned about the high voltage D2's use to charge batts,,

You could find the specs of your battery and compare.

If there is a massive difference you might have to consider alternatives. 'Gel' batteries have been sort of superseded by AGM's.

It also depends on what manufacturers consider a 'Gel'. Its a minefield of conflicting opinions. Maybe Drivesafe can assist.

IIRC from when I was investigating aux batteries, the GEL ones take too long to recharge. They are the best by far for the number of times they can be fully discharged but the fast recharge time of the AGMs was going to suit my purpose better.

I think Drivesafe recommended that I get a supercharge all rounder which falls between a deep cycle and a starting battery. Havent got around to doing it yet though. Give him a call he was very helpful?
