Mine only had its suspension replaced with soft long travel leaf springs and large wheels fitted, hopefully to allow the aluminium frame walls to cope well enough with the light-weight chassis for gravel road use. Its really only been tested once on a very rough section of so-called road and not even the unrestrained mattress moved. Previously the mattress walked in the 2 kms to my front gate.
Our D3 and Trek Bwana off-road camper trailer. Suits our family of 4 just fine! :)
- Queen bed
- 60ltr water tank
- Thetford stainless steel 4 burner kitchen & sink
- Wired for 240V & 12V with 120Ah AGM Battery

The camper trailer is under construction. Lots to do yet but in these photos you can see the bones and the colour match to our Nara Bronze D4.

Awesome seeing all these setups.
Nearly time for me to upgrade from the old onroad camper I bought to tow behind my old Subaru Brumby.
Its been dragged through a few easy off road tracks.
