this is my Camper set up.
It started life as an ARB Trailer built for the Military. (Tougher than anything else out there I could find, Tandem Axles, & Tough Suspension mounted in the sides so it would not get damage.)
Here is an early video of it.............

Have done a lot more mods since.......... With the gas struts on the hard top complete with Oz Tent it sets up in 30 seconds. By design it also becomes my base camp for further offroad adventures (80l water, 200amp batteries, gas etc. custom kitchen with 60l Waeco Fridge, & room on top for the tinny.

Here's ours at Douglas Hot Springs last year. Bought brand new May 2012, the Topaz is a very capable offroad van. Weighs 2 tonne loaded, my Ranger pulls it easy. Prior to the Ranger we towed it with a 2010 Puma and did the Vic high country in December 2012, camped at Talbotville, great spot.

Our set up at Myall River recently. Disco tows the camper soooo much better than the Pajero.

5 minutes to overnight, about 1 hr to this set up.
All Terrain Camper Trailer. 2003 model.
Agricultural but functional. It has an annexe as well, but rarely put it up unless staying somewhere for more than a couple of night and the weather is cool/wet. Its more bother than its worth.
Spending the night on the Tanami Road. Travelling with a 1,3 and 5 year old.

I made a camper out of the back of 109 hard top.
Cut the chassis in front of the xmember behind gearbox and welded drawbar into chassis. Spare wheels go in behind ute box on drawbar. 65l caravan watertank between rails, above axle. Axle is 64mm heavy wall pipe with Land rover stub axles and hubs, brakes to be fitted soon, half full of gear oil. 750x16 tyres on std 109 rims, Wind out caravan windows and flyscreens with curtains, ply lining around windows, and outdoor capet on rest of aluminium sufaces. upper tailgate has rangie gas struts instead of bars to hold it up.
Bed is at wheelarch height, Queen mattress shortened to fit. Is very cosy inside even when below zero outside.
75mm ring and NATO hitch. Weighs in at about 850kgs fully laden
