Hi Guys This is our new Track Star Campers Quickie 2...... it has a RTT, 270deg Foxwing Awning, Large Fridge Box, 100ah AGM Battery with Charger, Al-co Hitch, Ark XO Jockey Wheel, 2 Gas Bottle Holders and 2 Jerry Can Holders, 12v Water Pump (going to the front and back of the trailer), 50+30Ltr Water Tanks, Joolca HWS, Mini Kitchenette, LOTS of trailer storage room etc

Had some "issues" getting all the lights to work, but got them going by Installing 2 x 21w Resistors to EACH Indicator Circuit and replacing the Blown (from the factory) Fuse on the Brake Light Circuit.

The 100ah battery in the trailer is powered by an Anderson plug from the towbar area of the vehicle. That Anderson plug is powered from the Start Battery, run though to the back cargo area of our D4 which has a 120ah Kickass Battery Box and Projecta BCDC Charger (which powers our Fridge in the back of the car), that then has another anderson plug that outputs to the Trailer anderson plug in the towbar area. If we happen to take out the 120AH Kickass Battery Box from the rear cargo area, we just join the 2 Anderson plugs together (in the rear cargo area) to form one continuous cable that goes from the Starter Battery, through the rear cargo area to the towbar area. We also have a 200W Trifold Solar Panel, to either power the 120AH Battery Box or the Trailer 100AH Battery.
















There are 2 Anderson plugs in the back area attached to the Kickass Battery Box/Projecta BCDC Charger..... one coming from the Starter Battery and one going to the Towbar Anderson plug for the Trailer.

I hope that fuses or circuit breakers are installed at each end of the cable run at the stating battery and at the battery being charged as you wouldn't want a short to earth to cause a fire.

Good point Graeme.... I had the cable to the rear cargo area installed professionally by an Auto Sparky.... but I'll double check everything again.

I think that my van doesn't have a CB at the supply side of its battery so I must fit one, which will also be useful if some bright-spark decides to insert a bent nail or similar into the Anderson connector whilst the van is unattended.

2.5 tone loaded 250kg ball weight so it is a lot more to tow that the old Jayco s Swan But Sooooooo much easier to set up and Soooooo much more comfort.
It even has an inside dunny and shower
The Missus Loves it and I am over the moon that I don't have to put up that Bloody annex on the Swan anymore

we bought something similar late last year - ie shower and dunny inside. It is our first caravan, it's a Jayco expanda poptop, about 6 years old or so, with double bed at the front and queen bed at the rear. The dunny is only for number 1's of a night time, but is essential equipment from wifey's perspective. At other times we use the on-site facilities. Yet to do any camping away from civilization in it . So far we have used it at xmas and Easter. It comes in at about 1.7 tonne or so and is fairly easy to tow. Ended up getting a lever action jockey wheel, which has been really useful for minor maneuvers.

On the way back from Cooma, we drove down to the back of the dunes just SE of Orbost, (Ewing Marsh). What a great place to camp, and looking forward to going back for a bit of a "proper" stay. They say if it gets wet, one wouldn't be able to get out there,, you have to drive over a swamp type area. We have a two riser on our van, so it has a touch more clearance than a standard road going van, which gets us into places just like this. And of course, pictured is Chris (rangieman) the original pyromaniac, getting the fire going.
Really proud of Leeanne, she towed the van over 1500 Klms with no real issues whilst I drove the Series.
