    TV Aerials

A while back I bought a cheap Kogan 12v 22" HD TV for use in my camper. I should have done a bit more investigating before buying as the Kogan has a very weak tuner in it and requires a very strong signal. My living room is line of sight to the TV transmitters and most TVs will work with just rabbit ears but the Kogan requires a proper external aerial to get reception.

Anyway I bought an aerial off ebay for the camper and it works fine with other TVs but not the Kogan so I bought an amplifier and it works Ok (noting that with the good aerial and amplifier reception is still only OK line of sight).

My house aerial is even more powerful so I was thinking of using it on the camper with the amplifier and using the one I bought on the roof of the house.

Attached are some pics of the house aerial - it has the usual horizontal array which I assume is UHF and the vertical H shaped aerial which is VHF and as it is being phased out I should just be able to use the UHF section with digital.

    Can someone confirm my assumption.

    Cheers

    Garry
