You sorely tempt me, it really is the best design in concept IMHO but just too many bad stories. I hope you prove them all wrong.

The Vista RV Crossover is worth a look ( but looks over budget)
this is what I'd also buy if I didn't go for the Trakmaster

Gday mate
Have you seen this 2001 Trak Shak Midway with fully independant off road suspension. I was tempted myself but have decided to do up our current camper. It is the early Australian made model which is well regarded.
We have an old trak shak, dont know how old,but pre 1999 at least, we have had it for about 6 years or more and have no real issues with it.It has the xtra room and a good drawer setup inside. We use a camp kitchen inside[came with it] and we had some xtra windows put in over the bed. What we like about it is quick setup and the twin beds. For quick overnight we just fold it out,and pull the tent out,no pegs or anything, crawl through the door and to bed.About one minutes work.;) There are better campers out there now just as quick to set up, or just about, but not for the price we bought our old trak shak for.
How about a lifestyle!
Just put a deposit on an extenda last week. Should have it home by the 7-8 oct. will post pics. Has been optioned with VC independant suspension and DO35 off road hitch, full annex. Comes std with a fair good features.
Will post pics once it arrives, have named the trailer Boogie.
