I've put 4 x bikes on my 7 x 5, the 2 outside ones angled into the front corners and the third in the center backwards with the front wheel angled. Then we put an XR100 on the drawbar as well.
My next trailer will be the similar dimensions however I will enclose the mudguards in the tray and put a cutout in the front panel so the center bike is forward of the others
Yeah I want all bikes in the trailer that's why I need 8 foot as some bikes I carry are just over 7foot so have to be angled. Draw bar is for storage box and cooking gear, it also isn't wide enough for a full size bike, will hang out half a foot either side. Xr100 is a bit shorter than a yz250f:), at the moment it is fine as the kids are young, but they will want bigger bikes in years to come, plus an 8x5 is more useful to me than a 7x5

Attachment 961498.5 x 5.5 seems to work ok, snug fit but as compact as i can get it. Only drama is the wheels will hang out quite a bit. Was thinking of running a small internal wheel arch to get the track narrower, will stuff up having a full flat floor but will be able to get the track within 100mm of the rangie as apposed to 400mm.

I think internal wheel arch is the best solution to keep the track down as well. Either that or run the tray above the wheels however then it gets a bit high.
At least the center of the bikes will be above the wheel arch so it shouldn't impinge on the tray too much.
Exactly, just ruins the flat trailer floor thingy, trailer floor will be about 700-800 off the ground, but will help the the roof top tent awning height.
Now i just need to figure out where that axle needs to go. Moving the wheels into the floor area still gives me 1350 between the wheel archesas apposed to 1650ish
A Central axle position or just forward of centre usually works best for bike trailers, which is about in line with the bike engine.Quote:
