    The tent on wheels

Well we picked the wee beast up today and as usual found a few things we didn't notice

2 @ 100amp hour maintenance free batteries and a 30amp charger under one of the beds

We had some drama coming up the freeway when the front of the pop top decided to rise to the occasion...

Lovely lady in a passing red range rover let us know before we got to notice it ourselves

Being only a 13' unit it's an easy tow

I'm thinkin it would have been quite dramatic if that top had come up! It would be like one of those drag car parachutes opening up!!

You'd think they'd find somewhere private to do it!

yeah, wasn't much fun i have to say.

was a shocking place to be pulled up and was extremely pleased when i modded the latches enough that i was game to get back on the road and amble up to the two bp's and have a serious look at the situation.

they are eccentric latches and both the ones on the drivers side had been bent by being over tightened so i removed them once we made it home and straightened them back up and did what i could to get them as they should be...

will definitely be looking at some sort of failsafe setup for future travels.

there were a few wide loads that had to get around us while we were on the side of the road... bet they thought highly of me as they had to move over to get past....

The latches on out KK have a sideways moving spring steel lock plate that prevents the latch undoing unless you depress the lock ... See of I can find a picture.
