I just did my hubs on my Cross Over..
No spacers needed
I have looked everywhere and many have asked but nobody has got an answer.
Seems adapter plates are not illegal on trailers & caravans just cars.
Disco 2 wheel centres are too small to go over trailer hubs.
So my concept is adapter plates might do the job of mounting Disco 2 wheel to my caravan keeping the centre of load bearing between the axle bearings. I bought a modified (70mm centre lips for centring Disco 2 wheels) wheel adapters 6x139.7 Landcruiser to 5x120 Disco 2 pattern with a 50mm offset (Disco 2 is 57mm so lost 7mm).
There is still plenty of room behind the wheels with 7mm less track.

Hi Tombie,
I had to go from zero offset to +57mm.
Looks like you went Prado GX/Standard 17x6" + 50mm to + 53mm for disco 4 so much closer than I have to bridge.
When I saw yours at Melrose it got me thinking about alternatives.
Correct spacers are illegal.
Even the brake guy next door says YES spacers are illegal, BUT adapters are not on trailers. He has all the rules as he fixes and modifies trailers as well.
He has inspected them and just made a few suggestions to improve them like longer joining bolts.
EDIT 1
I am not completely convinced of their strength for corrugated roads, that is why I am keeping the old wheels.
The other plan was to buy some 16x7 zero offset sunrasia wheels and use Disco 2 sized tyres. So going from 235/75r15 to 235/70r16 which have just about the same diameter.
EDIT 2 - (Just asked again and as they are engineered spacers they do not fall into the universal spacer illegal category)
