I've just checked my Superannuation Account 8O
I could just about afford to retire to one of those.
Of no fixed abode

Ok, been delving a little further, the Transcontinental starts from $48800 and the Backpack model starts from $27800. Im generally unfamiliar with prices on these sorts of things, obviously $48k aint cheap, but how does that price against other similiar type models??

That is, shall we say, exhorbitant 8O
At least for the transcontinental... for price for the backpacker ain't too bad compared to a new Tvan...
They tend to start around $23k+, just do a google search for tvan and you'll get lots of hits.
I think that's about the only one that comes close to the highrise apartments though.
It looks claustrophobic to me, which I think is also true of the T Van.
yeha but you guys do realise that the backpacker model is a traytop version https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
Ever noticed that a small area under canvas isn't really claustrophobic, but the minute you make those walls and roof out of something more solid.. it feels terribly cramped :?:
Yes, I have noticed exactly that.
I don't feel claustrophic in a tent, but in a solid walled space of the same size I feel the big urge to get out.
Thats why I like our camper with lots of canvas. We can do a long-term setup and have three rooms on our camper, so its about as spacious as the average Thai one-room apartment! 8O
I could probably swing a cat in our camper without it hitting the walls https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
You should probably try... just to be sure. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/Quote:

Any cat that got into our camper would certainly be swung - probably by the neck! Or booted! https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
