Laminex and Formica do finishes that look sort of the same - I've emailed both asking for samples.
The lighter one below is close to the main panelling colour, the darker one closer to the door colour.

Well, ordered this - SimpleLife4U Light Grey Wood Grain Contact Paper Self Adhesive Shelf Liner Table Door Sticker 45cm by 3m by SimpleLife4U - Shop Online for Kitchen in Australia
Thanks to GG for spotting this. 👍😊
Looks pretty close and is cheap and easy enough to get a roll to try out. Shoukd make it look a bit better for the time being. 😊
A place near me https://www.jandenwp.com.au/ was where I sourced 3mm ply from when I built my van. Maybe they have something close.
Thanks for that - they do caravan ply of which one looks very similar. 👍
Someone must stock similar material down this way then, I'll just have to keep searching. Might call them and see if they know of anyone down south that stocks the same product. 😊
A big day today and a lot accomplished even though it doesn't look like much. Rather than do the brake conversion on the LHS, I decided to get the entire RHS 100% complete. Not only did the brake wiring need installing, but the water pipes to the HWS needed attaching to the chassis, other wiring tided up, earths remade and other accosiated bits and bobs.
Electric brake wiring was fully installed from the plug to each side, and on the RHS wired all the way to the backing plate - used split corrugated conduit over the wiring where it loops down and put a P clamp at each end to make sure it will survive long term. I'm very happy with the result.
Greased the new bearings in the new brake hub, and also fitted new bearings to the back hub. While I had both wheels off, I jacked up the van at different points to allow me to remove, clean and regrease all the spring hanger pivots. Cleaned out the grease nipples and got all of these working too as a couole were bunged up with gunk. Sprayed in between the leaves to get them moving too, then degreased, wire brushed and painted everything under there. Gave the chassis a coat of silver too and it looks pretty bloody good under there now.
Couple of pics - fully mechanically overhauled and all painted up and looking ready for action again.

Rims and tyres cleaned, tyre polish applied and refitted. I won't be getting the old rims sorted for a while yet - I've run out of funds and time to do this before Corowa.

And a shot looking at the services all run and secured underneath. This side is done. 👍

Looking great! [emoji1303][emoji1303][emoji1303]
Thanks. Now I'm looking at that last pic, the hot and cold pipes running to the HWS are giving me the ****s as they are crossed over. Almost did it this morning and thought it woukd be fine, but I think I'll have to nio out for 5 and fix that...
Too much white paint on there for my liking... [emoji6]
you'd be better served by using garden hose or similar over your wires, split conduit is not rock/stick/animal proof,,
Probably but it’s better than almost any factory set up I’ve seen as I have secured it both ends - the wires coming out of the brake just flap about so not sure what others have done here but poking my head under a couple of modern vehicles, they are just left like this and run up to the chassis (in split conduit)...
Too late for the time being as I have no time to revisit it at the moment. I’m miles behind where I need to be. ☹️
