    picked up a Bargain trailer

Was all prepared to buy myself a DIY Trailer kit from "Spinny things" $1700 for the hitch / axles / brakes /. mudguards etc and up pops this little ripper on the local Facebook marketplace , $2000 , with reg till August.

Inspected & Picked it up Thursday, welded on some tie down points. Towed Landy to Corowa on Friday

unfortunately it has brand new 13" LT tyres on Holden rims , I'll be dumping those in favour of 14" rims with 195 LT tyres for better load capacity as well as to raise the height of the trailer a inch or so as it rides a little high at the front.

not sure what the hubcaps are off

Perfect! 13" are good as it lowers the centre of gravity and allows for the loading of lower cars ............... If your only towing land rovers, this probably isn't a problem (infact you could probably get away with not even having ramps!).

The higher the trailer, the longer the ramps you need to load normal vehicles

Exactly , it will only be for the LandRover , and only for SWB its not long enough to get a LWB on and I doubt a regular car would fit on , if it did you might have trouble opening the door to get out

I could put a spacer between the a frame and hitch to lower the front of the trailer, (to get it riding level)

Was advertised as a "Plant Trailer " - but I don't know what plant was on it as there were no tied down points at all !!

good idea, I will remove the ramps , I don't think they are needed at all !!

Keep an eye on the mudguard clearance, as you will lose a bit of suspension travel.
