    Preparing for Yellowstone

Canvas and bedding now fitted. Have learned a lot more about sewing canvas/sunbrella/velcro and riveting anchor point than expected, but now the kids have a place to sleep separately from us while traveling.

Am going to try to get the solar panel, batteries, propane water heater, water pump, filter, fridge/freezer, camp sink, umbilical, shoreline power coupling, shower and commode plus Supa270 degree awning and roof rack all fitted before we go.......

Regardless of how far short I fall with it all (and I will) at least now with the bedding and sunbrella weather resistent camp top they'll have somewhere to sleep other than just tents or on a poorly built sleeping shelf from a previous effort below us in the truck.

Once I mount the roofrack and insert the bikerack into the receiver we'll have room for bikes, kayaks, gear, supplies, dogs ( in the rear of the county) and improved sleeping arrangements now.

You forgot to include the space heater.

Was there a week before the park closed for the season in 2015. Bloody cold it was too.

Yes indeed. Yellowstone is its own micro climate. It can have snow most anytime of the year at altitude, even summer, then pop up to 30C.

From the national park service's site: 'Since most of the park lies at an elevation of 6,000 feet above sea level or higher, unpredictability characterizes Yellowstone's weather. Expect big temperature swings, rain, or snow during every month of the year. No matter when you visit, bring a warm jacket, rain gear, and lots of layers.'

Yessir. When I imported it from down under it came with lpg. I added it to my perenties as well. I haven't run lpg in the county since the rebuild, but used all the turbo grade parts on it (liners, etc.) thinking since it has a garrett turbo and lpg increases burn, it might be better. This will be the first big cross country trip since, so hoping it all goes well.

Ps, there are no regulations against RHD in the US. Many of the postal delivery trucks are in fact RHD and in rural areas they use local contractors for delivery and pay for conversion if desired. It has drawn moments of ire from onlookers who think I'm letting the kids out for a joyride though, until they notice my hand on the wheel on the other side.

Trip has been a success so far. Heading back east starting tomorrow and will post properly, but wanted to share the 110, Bison and Rainbows (the trailer was at camp at the time). The other shots are from crossing the state line into Wyoming and our camp at canyon village in yellowstone, setup.

That would have made for quite a sight. The RHD 110 with a 4bd1 alone made quite a stir. Wish you could've been there too. It's an iconic trip and a majestic place. Today we were next door in Grand Teton and Jackson Hole, tomorrow we begin the trek (more or less) due east.
