From what I have seen the KK campers and vans are a really good product But unfortunately they have priced themselves out of the market.
People are simply not prepared to pay such huge prices for a van or a trailer when there are much cheaper options available to them.

They must have been losing money badly to stop with all that stock.

I think that a big part of the problem was the poor quality control with the end product and peoples expectations that if they were paying a premium then the product should be of that standard.
We've met quite a few owners that have had major issues and KK didn't seem to be able or want to do anything to correct it. I've had a look at two in regards to electrical problems that we have met on the road and the standard of work in association to the electrics was woeful, it really needed to be started from scratch to end up with how it should have been done originally.

That sounds like EVERY caravan and camper manufacturer. One of my Neighbors just bought a mid level camper, not cheap, but not ridiculous - wiring in it is awful (so is some of the build quality but I won't go into that) and flattened the batteries in a few days when he had everything turned off as the wiring to the inverter isn't switched believe it or not, so it sites there sucking power until the battery dies - really smart...

When I went over it for him I found about a dozen really bad bits of electrical design or bodgey wiring - he took it back for rectification. A week later he gets it back with 1 switch added to isolate the inverter....

More calls to them and he's been told politely but firmly to sod off as 'everything works at the moment so it's not our problem'. I spend about 4 hours and made it 10 times better, re made a lot of connections (no idea what sort of crimpers they use, but crap ones) and fitted a second battery for him as the OEM wanted $1000 to do this (including a Chinese 110AH AGM).

I can't imagine what the base level cheap arse suppliers are like...

MY friends purchased a KK Karavan not too long ago and unfortunately had it back at Ballina for warranty rectification when they went into receivership. They managed after a lot of mucking around to get it back. They are happy enough with it but it had a lot of QC problems that had to be fixed.

I'll be interested to see the full inventory Grays have for auction as they have some good gear in them. I think my friends will be interested as well to acquire some spares.
