Chemical toilet in an airtight box

I bought a trianglar aluminium drawbar box & have done a damn fine job of dust sealing it.
But is now near airtight. Would it be wise to store the portaloo in it? would the methane produced possibly bulge the box ?
I have looked thru the interweb but no direct answers there. There is some discussion that the chemicals negate the gas producing process.
I can drill a large hole & fit a filter but dont want to if I don't have to...

If it’s not 100% than you’ll be right.

The portaloo is sealed anyway so don’t see why it would matter.

Yeah, I’ve had a near full one on the back of the car with me - doesn’t smell at all so assume it must be airtight itself.

Yep they are sealed = on a hot day my portapottie blows up like a balloon - was worried with it in the back of the car - in future on hot days its not going in the car - just in case.

I have got one on my boat and even on the roughest of days it never spills/leaks or smells, Unfortunately I still have to empty it and it can be a bit pongy then.
