Suitable lock for ALKO off road ball coupling

    Hi All,

I'm looking at making the leap into the world of camping trailers in the next few weeks, progressing from our touring tent that appears to be getting smaller and smaller every time we head out bush.

I've currently got my eye on a custom built off road trailer, set up ready to go with a good quality roof top tent. The trailer comes with an AL-KO off road ball coupling, the 2T mechanical override type.

I'd like to know if there's any suitable coupling locks for this specific type of off road coupling.

An RV store put me onto a variant of the below, saying the others out there do no fit the AL-KO off road coupling. Don't know how effective this style of lock is. I've tried contacting AL-KO directly, but have had no luck there.

I know if someone really wants to take the trailer, they'll do so anyway...cordless angle grinders are pretty efficient nowadays, but hopefully everyone in the neighborhood will know they're doing so.

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

    Cheers
    Brian
