    DIY 'Weighbridge"

With the emphasis on correct axle loading & towing safety of late this will be a handy device.
Measures up to 2000kg so you can weigh individual axles, wheels or towball weight with a suitable jack, chocks etc.

    You need these two items.

Load Cell Indicator Display Weighing S Weight Sensor 2 Way Output 96x48 1PC | eBay

    +

1Pcs S TYPE High Precision Load Sensor Weight Cell With Cable 50/100/300/2000kg. | eBay

Plus some suitable bolts & plate to make the 'jack adaptor '

    I measure the Landy

    Front axle 789kg

    Rear axle 704kg

The official weigh bridge mass for the EV VASS certificate was 1480 kg, & the Load Cell gives 1493kg, which would be about right, I'd easily have a few kg of mud under it and 10kg of fire extinguisher & tools that weren't there when I put it over weigh bridge.

Certainly a lot cheaper than a complete solution, like upwards $500 cheaper .

Only thing it needs is a nice enclosure for the display unit, I have my leads taped to the back, bit dodgy since one is a 240v lead, now Ive proved it works I'll finish it off a bit nicer.

Be interesting when I hook my Caravan up to truck next week & see how much overweight I've been running.

Have done the same corner weighting race cars a very long time ago.
Then I was able to borrow a race engineer mates Longacre digi scales!
